Farniente and that’s it

To hell with the hustle and bustle of Paris, the hands on our dial are on Southern time. That’s right, where the schedule is aligned with summer farniente.

And it starts with an editorial… late. Or should we say in keeping with the theme? 🤭

Whether, like most people in the capital, you’ve put on your August hat to bask in the sun in Marseille, or you’re treading water in Paris because you haven’t got the money, it has to be said that, as the seasons change, August is a lighter month.

The streets are deserted by the grumpy people who grumble all year round, leaving room for tourists who are ready to marvel at everything, festivals continue to welcome a whole world ready to mingle where small talk isn’t such an unpleasant social ordeal and the vagaries of the weather have a romanticism akin to an idyllic Korean drama.

In August, we don’t really have any lessons to teach you or quotations to offer to guide your life. You are already beings of light and don’t need a guru to guide you along the right path! Ah… unless you’re spending your best holiday in Tel Aviv these days, when you know, we know, everyone knows. You might need to realign your chakras and do a good energetic cleansing to get back to your humanity! For the rest of you, just enjoy the rest of your summer.
