Since time immemorial, the most contemplative poets have reserved their most celebratory prose for it, whilst romantic writers have penned terribly nostalgic works, eager to recapture that feeling which only summer can provide.

July, though synonymous with holidays, will certainly not be idle this year, but it will do so through its customary succession of festivals and concerts to satisfy all kinds of music lovers. Yardland, Peacock Society, Bad Bunny, The Weeknd and System of a Down, to name but a few.

This festive list of things to do and see is, of course, by no means exhaustive – and, above all, not compulsory. Whether you choose the quiet corner of a library or the mosh pit at a gig, the one non-negotiable thing is to enjoy yourself. Absolutely.
