All good things must come to an end

Since 25th of August, we’ve been hearing the echo of the big hooves of back-to-school, all too eager to trample on the end of our summer break. So August hasn’t even had time to say goodbye, and we’re already entering a new cycle?

And what a cycle it is! Whether you’re going back to school, to work or to other shifts, there’s that same injunction to fit into a mould to get a machine running again, a machine whose main cogs you don’t actually control. Worse still. Getting back into it feels like having to oil a rusty machine.

So what do you do? Take a leave of absence for life? Take a leave of absence? Spoiler alert: it’s impossible. Even if your bank account allowed you a Kardashian lifestyle, Shakespeare prophesied a long time ago that in any case, given our vain human condition, if we had holidays all year round, we’d be as worn out as we are working. It has to be said that it’s true. It’s hard to believe but… even the Kardashians don’t go on holiday all year round, they work. Just not like us.

What if, in the face of all this reflection, we could escape? It’s not a question of shirking responsibility, no. It’s about taking responsibility for your state of consciousness. The real aim is to free yourself from your dark side. You know: that little voice that propels nothing but mental fog.

It’s out of the question to stress, to want to control everything, to cringe at the slightest annoyance. Nothing must cost you your sanity. In the end, the only injunction is to prioritise yourself.

This cycle is an opportunity to put summer memories in a pretty memory box and create new ones now. All this to say that the recipe isn’t magic. It just lies within you.
