Wednesday 21st of August 2024 saw the come back of Lana Del Rey to the Rock en Seine festival 10 years on, making us forget the flop of the past on the same stage. As time goes by, failure is transformed into a springboard to unanimous success, as her concert won over the entire audience, who were blown away by her stage presence and breathtaking set design.
A reunion between artist and audience under the banner of love
It was also the artist’s only scheduled concert in France. In other words, the moment was as iconic as it was desperately awaited. In fact, the artist made herself scarce. The festival, usually impeccably organised because of its punctuality, was 25 minutes late for Lana Del Rey’s performance. The delay was quickly forgotten, judging by the declarations of love chanted here and there to the artist as she arrived.

The queen of baroque accents inaugurated her comeback in a full black look by Chanel, wearing a black tweed dress with a collar embellished with embroidered rhinestones. An emblem of Chanel style. And not forget the leather boots and slim logo belt to emphasise her waist. Her hair, meanwhile, was secured with a wide black bow and a lace veil. What better way to complete the look than with accessories? First, a Chanel Première Sound hybrid watch and necklace. Then there was a necklace with monogrammed Chanel integrated headphones.
This style is reflected in her music. A sort of melodious chiaroscuro between power and fragility, love and despair, fairytale and Hollywood drama. It’s a musical universe you can’t just enjoy by listening to it, because it runs right through it, appealing to all the senses and the deepest emotions.
