This is the story of a designer who wanted to bind three musketeers around a beautiful idea: she invoked The Beautiful, The Useful and The Pleasant. The fourth musketeer turned out to be a Storytelling around a passion that was passed on from mother to daughter, since the designer had been rocked by her mother’s creations since she was a child.
The audacity of terry cloth
Laurence’s project was an obvious one: while living in the Seychelles, a paradise that goes without saying, she imagined soft and supple all-in-one dresses that didn’t need to be ironed and that could be worn on many occasions. To do this, she decided to exploit a practical fabric. Why not make terrycloth a new must-have?
A retro world revisited to the taste of the day
The challenge now is to create collections that are timeless and that give an eye to a seventies universe that inspires its creator. Guided by mythical references such as Courrèges and Cardin, Laurence is inspired by a flowery, flashy fashion with graphic shapes, which are still unmistakable today.
